A Spring Wedding at The Little Wren | Josh & Emma
Some wedding days are beautiful.
Some wedding days are emotional.
And some wedding days leave you feeling like you've known the couple and their families for years.
Josh and Emma's wedding at The Little Wren in Rockwall, Texas was one of those weddings.
From the moment I arrived, there was an excitement in the air that seemed to follow everyone throughout the day. Family members moved from room to room helping with final touches, friends laughed together while getting ready, and there was a genuine sense of anticipation for what was about to unfold.
One of my favorite parts of any wedding day is getting to document those quieter moments before the ceremony begins.
The moments that often go unnoticed.
The moments that only happen once.
The moments that become some of the most meaningful memories later.
While Emma spent the morning getting ready in the bridal suite surrounded by the people she loves most, I also spent time documenting some of the details they had carefully planned.
The rings.
The chapel decor.
The thoughtful touches that would soon become part of their wedding story.
One thing I always remind couples is that wedding days move incredibly fast. Those small details often take months of planning, and I love making sure they're remembered long after the day is over.
Meanwhile, Josh spent the morning in the groom's suite with his groomsmen, sharing laughs and preparing for the day ahead.
There's always a unique energy in the groom's suite. Sometimes it's nerves. Sometimes it's excitement. Most of the time it's a little bit of both.
As the ceremony drew closer, everyone began settling into the reality that after months of planning, the day was finally here.
One of my favorite parts of Josh and Emma's wedding day happened before the ceremony even began.
Instead of doing a traditional first look, they chose to exchange private vows.
Standing back-to-back, unable to see one another, they shared personal words that were meant only for each other.
No guests.
No audience.
No distractions.
Just the two of them, their vows, and the beginning of the promises they were about to make.
It was intimate, emotional, and such a beautiful reminder that weddings are ultimately about the relationship at the center of it all.
As guests began arriving, excitement continued to build throughout the venue.
Soon it was time.
The ceremony began.
The bridesmaids walked down the aisle.
The groomsmen took their places.
And then came the moment everyone had been waiting for.

One detail that made the ceremony especially meaningful was having a family member perform one of their special songs.
Those personal touches are always some of my favorite parts of a wedding day because they make the celebration uniquely theirs.
Looking around the chapel, it was impossible not to notice how much love surrounded them.
Not just from each other.
But from every person who had gathered to celebrate alongside them.
After the ceremony, we moved directly into family portraits.
While family photos may not be the most exciting part of the wedding day, they often become some of the most treasured images years later.
Parents.
Grandparents.
Siblings.
The people who helped shape their story.
These photographs preserve those relationships for generations.
Once family portraits were complete, we spent time with the wedding party before transitioning into bride and groom portraits.
These are always some of my favorite images from the day.
The timeline slows down for a moment.
The ceremony is over.
The nerves are gone.
And the couple finally gets a few quiet moments together as newlyweds.
Josh and Emma made these portraits so easy because their connection was undeniable.
Their energy, their laughter, and the way they looked at each other made every photo feel effortless.
As the evening continued, heartfelt speeches filled the reception space.
Family members shared stories, memories, and words of encouragement that left plenty of people wiping away tears.
What stood out most wasn't any single speech.
It was the overwhelming support surrounding Josh and Emma.
Throughout the entire day, their family and friends showed up for them in every possible way.
The love in the room was impossible to miss.
The night ended exactly the way a great wedding should.
With laughter.
Celebration.
Dancing.
And a room full of people who were genuinely excited for the future ahead of the newly married couple.
As I packed up my cameras at the end of the night, I found myself smiling.
Not just because the day had gone smoothly.
But because Josh and Emma had created a wedding day that felt completely true to who they are.
Fun.
Welcoming.
Joyful.
And filled with love.
