Meet Chelsea: The Heart and "Why" Behind MIMBC

Every photographer has a story, and mine began with a trip to the local Walgreens with my Nana.

Growing up in East Texas, I spent my childhood with a disposable camera in hand. My Nana would get them developed for my sister and me, and we’d use her tiny 4x9 printer to see our favorite shots come to life. Today, I have boxes and boxes of those albums. After losing my best friend in 2016 and my Nana in 2018, those photos became more than just paper—they became everything.

The Importance of the "Right Now" I realized early on that you never know when a photo is all you’ll have left of someone. It doesn’t matter the age or the health; life is fragile. But I’ve also learned that it doesn’t matter how "imperfect" your life feels in this moment. Whether your house is messy, your kids are loud, or you're waiting for a "better time"—I promise you, it is so important to live in the season of life you are in right now and capture it. Photos keep alive the tiny details that would otherwise fall through the cracks of our memory. We have to value the time we have and make those memories tangible while we can.

The Road to Resilience In 2019, my life changed again when a severe car wreck nearly led to the amputation of my right leg. After three surgeries and a year of being unable to walk, I had an ankle fusion. Today, I’m mostly pain-free and—miraculously—able to keep up with my two-year-old son and our "mini farm" here in Fort Worth. Our house is a busy one! We have two rescue pups—Harley (a Border Collie/Aussie mix) and Autumn (a Mini Aussie)—plus a Holland Lop bunny named Mocha. They are all indoor animals, so life is never quiet, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Building the Dream I picked up my first "real" camera (a Canon T7i) in 2021. It started as a hobby on vacations, but soon coworkers were asking for sessions. That’s when my husband, Logan, stepped in. He works in IT and spent countless late nights after our son was asleep helping me design this website and navigate the technical side of owning a business. I truly don’t know where I’d be without his support!

A Mountain-High "I Do" Logan and I have been together since 2019 and married since September 2023. We eloped in Ouray, Colorado, when I was seven months pregnant! If you’ve ever been pregnant, you know the struggle—I was "popping a squat" behind trees every 45 minutes and hiking mountain trails in a massive, poofy wedding dress. It was chaotic, hilarious, and perfectly us. That adventure is exactly why I love mountain elopements—there is something so raw and adventurous about saying "I do" in the wild. Your Story Starts Here For the past two years and over 100 sessions, I’ve operated under the name Moments Into Memories by Chelsea (MIMBC). Whether I’m using my Canon 5D Mark III or my SL2, my goal is always the same: to give you the same gift my Nana gave me. I’m here to capture your family, your "I dos," and your new beginnings, so that years from now, you’ll have your own boxes of memories to look back on.
