The Best Senior Photo Locations in DFW (And How to Make Your Session Uniquely You)


Senior year is such an exciting season of life.


It's a year filled with big milestones, major decisions, and a lot of excitement about what comes next. Whether you're graduating from high school, college, trade school, or another program, your senior session should feel like a celebration of everything you've accomplished and the person you've become.


One of the biggest questions I get from seniors is:

"Where should I take my senior photos?"


The answer is always the same.

It depends on you.


Of course, beautiful locations matter. DFW has some incredible places for senior photos. But some of my favorite senior sessions have included locations, hobbies, and personal touches that made the session completely unique to that senior.


We'll talk about those ideas later.

Fort Worth Botanic Garden


The Fort Worth Botanic Garden is one of the most versatile locations in DFW.


With beautiful greenery, flowers, bridges, pathways, and multiple garden styles throughout the property, it feels like several locations in one.


This location is perfect for seniors wanting a timeless and classic look.

Airfield Falls


Airfield Falls is one of my favorite locations because it offers so much variety.


The waterfall, willow tree, trails, river access, and open fields allow us to create multiple looks throughout one session.


This location works especially well for seniors wanting something natural and adventurous.

Kimbell Art Museum


For seniors wanting something modern and polished, the Kimbell Art Museum is hard to beat.

The architecture creates a clean, editorial feel while still offering beautiful outdoor spaces.

I especially love this location for seniors wanting something that feels sophisticated and timeless.

Entrada of Westlake


Entrada feels like a destination location without ever leaving DFW.


The European-inspired architecture, stone pathways, archways, and fountains create an upscale atmosphere that photographs beautifully.


If you're looking for an "old money" aesthetic, this is probably the closest thing you'll find in North Texas.

For seniors wanting a little Texas personality, the Stockyards are always a fun choice.


The brick streets, historic buildings, western charm, trains, cactus garden, spiral staircase, and rustic scenery create a look that is uniquely Fort Worth.

LBJ Grasslands offers some of the most beautiful natural scenery in North Texas.


Wide-open fields, tall grass, wildflowers during certain seasons, and incredible sunsets make this location feel peaceful and timeless.


It's especially beautiful for seniors wanting a natural outdoor look.

The Fort Worth Water Gardens create a completely different look than any other location on this list.

The Best Senior Sessions Tell Your Story


As much as I love beautiful locations, some of my favorite senior sessions have nothing to do with the location itself.

Instead, they focus on the person.


One of my favorite examples was photographing my stepbrother during pilot school.


After completing his first solo out-of-state flight, I met him as he landed and photographed him with the airplane that represented so much hard work and dedication.


The photos weren't special because of the location.

They were special because they told his story.

Whether that means flowers at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, architecture at Entrada, a waterfall at Airfield Falls, a Texas feel at the Stockyards, or something completely unique to your story, I'm always happy to help create a session that feels authentic to you.
